Please bring an item along to the performance that is worthless to others but valuable to you. It can become part of the «Gallery of Useless Things», if you are willing to give it to us on loan. We also accept vinyls and slides that are no longer needed. Thank you!

Anyone who has ever had to clear out a house will know: Most of the junk that you have to get rid of is usually worthless – or isn't it? Swiss award-winning theatre maker and Kaserne LAB artist Antje Schupp invites the audience to take part in some advanced recycling. Antje and her team rummage through relics of the past after a laid-back start with drinks and coffee served in grandma's best crockery. Rich in musicality and with meticulous attention to detail, a fusion of exhibition ambiance and affectionate chaos: Definitely more «bless this mess» than Marie Kondō. Recycling of Life speculates on the eternal cycle of life and things: Life is sustained through the continuous cycle of unseen cellular renewal within our bodies. The evening navigates philosophical waters, going beyond the notion of worth to explore memories, knowledge and life experiences. What should we do with all these items?
